The next Wayne Rooney?

The Everton Acadamy has already produced some exciting talent with Wayne Rooney of Manchester United the prime example and Jack Rodwell beginning to get the acclaim his indisputed talents deserve but one young man Ex Accross boys academy captain Nat Taylor has just signed professional terms for lowly Accrington Stanley.

Taylor may not come from that exclusive school but he has worked his way from the "Non League" scene into the professional game thanks to the help of Mark Fell, Head of Sport and his team at Accross Academy.

Taylor becomes the first graduate from the college academy scheme to join the pro ranks. The midfield man who can be utilised as a forward said, "It's obviously every teenage player's dream to become a professional, It goes to show that all the hard work I've put in over the years has paid off."

"My ambition now is to just get on the pitch. I just want to play games for Accrington. That's my aim."

I expect both Wayne Rooney and Jack Rodwell would have said similar as it is a boys dream to play professional football and while not all will get into a club from day one there are always other routes such as the college in Accrington & Rossendale. http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/accrosscollegefootballacademy/
