Top tier terracing added to new Tottenham stadium
The build of Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium continues at a strong pace after work was started on the top tier terracing.
Tottenham let their fans know of the latest developments on the progress of the new White Hart Lane project on Twitter. The stadium's steel upper now extends into the west stand and the first terracing units have been installed in the new north upper tier. The new third tier will be new to Tottenham fans with their current White Hart Lane Stadium only having two tiers.
The news comes a few weeks after the club agreed an extension to make their decision on whether to play at Wembley or White Hart Lane next season.
With the new stadium set to open for the start of the 2018/19 season Chairman Daniel Levy said: 'While everyone is eager to know if this is our last season at the Lane, we shall only make the decision to decommission our historic White Hart Lane when we have greater certainty on the delivery of the new stadium.'
The club's last Premier League home match this season is against Manchester United on Sunday 14th May. The club have plans in place for a commemorative documentary in addition to a special programme that has already been commissioned.
