Tottenham sign new broadcast deal

Tottenham Hotspur have launched a new broadcast partnership with Fox Sports Asia.

A two-year deal has been signed which will see Tottenham's weekly highlights show, Spurs TV, televised exclusively on the network’s channels. The programme will be shown in Brunei, Cambodia, East Timor, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Macau, Mongolia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam during the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons.

The weekly three-hour show will include a delayed full-match broadcast of one of Spurs’ games from either the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League or the domestic FA Cup competition, and will give fans access to exclusive behind the scenes footage from the club’s training centre.

Aidan Mullally, head of business development at Tottenham Hotspur, said: “We are pleased to be partnering with Fox Sports, a broadcaster with a great track record of producing high-quality football output across Asia. As our supporter base in the region continues to grow, we hope this relationship will help bring our fans even closer to the club as well as attracting many more to follow us.”

Italo Zanzi, executive vice president and managing director of sports for Fox Networks Group in Asia Pacific and the Middle East, added: “Tottenham Hotspur is clearly a club on the rise and we are excited to deliver the club's near-live Premier League matches through Spurs TV to fans across Asia. This agreement is a core part of our new English football initiative that will deliver a uniquely compelling offering to viewers and advertisers in the region."
