TVC agree deal for regional rights of the FA Cup
TVE, a Free-to-air broadcaster, has purchased the broadcast rights in Spain for the next two seasons of the FA Cup.
According to El Confidencial Digital, the Spanish broadcaster will be paying €2.4m (approximately £2.1 million) for the rights over a two-year period. The deal means that games will be broadcast live on TVE’s sports channel Teledeporte.
The influx of Spanish players in recent years has made the Premier League and English football very popular with viewers in Spain. Last season’s winners Manchester United had three Spanish players in their matchday squad these were; David de Gea, Juan Mata and Ander Herrera.
