Vanarama Conference make Teenage Cancer Trust donation during 1-1 draw between Forest Green Rovers and Bristol Rovers
The Vanarama Conference donated over £3500 to the Teenage Cancer Trust during half-time when Forest Green Rovers hosted Bristol Rovers in a 1-1 draw on Monday.
Bridget Woodard on behalf of the Teenage Cancer Trust accepted the donation of £3,550 from Brian Lee, the chairman of the Vanarama Conference, from monies raised by members and guests of the competition back in June at their annual conference.
Lee said: "My fellow directors and all our member clubs join with me to endorse that our chosen charitable beneficiary for 2014 is a worthwhile recipient."
"The Teenage Cancer Trust works in a specialist field, responding to needs with first class support, through an excellent service of care to those young people and their families who unfortunately face such difficult times."
"I am honoured to be presenting a financial contribution as a small token of gratitude and esteem from our membership towards the sterling work they undertake in our communities."
The Conference recently agreed a new sponsorship deal with car and van hire company Vanarama.
