Vauxhall to step down as national team sponsor

Vauxhall will step down as lead sponsor of the England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland football teams after the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

This will end a 7 year association between Vauxhall and the four home nations Football Associations.

A statement has however said that Vauxhall have "agreed to explore other opportunities to continue its relationship with the FAs beyond the conclusion of the existing contracts."

The statement added "during this time, Vauxhall has enjoyed excellent relations with all the associations and the partnerships have proved extremely successful in delivering its original targeted strategic objectives."
