Weather takes toll on Boxing Day football

The rain is playing havoc with the Boxing day fixtures as the list of postponements grows. The main problems are in North West England and Yorkshire where torrential rain has cause flooding and transport problems.

It's not just waterlogged pitches but flooded stands and surrounding areas that have played a role in the call-offs. The only game in the top two flights to fall foul of the weather is Blackburn's home game with leaders Middlesborough in the Championship.

Championship:

League One:

Blackpool v Oldham

Bradford v Burton

Bury v Barnsley

Wigan v Sheffield United

League Two:

Accrington v Carlisle

Morecambe v Mansfield

Hartlepool v Notts County
