Webb Resigns as Leyton Orient Manager

Danny Webb has resigned as Leyton Orient manager after spending just 2 months in charge of the club.

Webb took over the struggling club at the end of January this year and leaves the club bottom of the Football League and facing relegation to non-league for the first time in their 112 year history. They are currently 7 points from safety with 7 matches remaining.

The club recently survived a winding up order by HMRC and owner Francesco Becchetti has been given until 12th June to pay off the remaining debts or sell the club.

Omer Riza, Webb's assistant, has been placed in temporary charge until the end of the season. Riza becomes the fifth different manager Orient have had this season and the 11th manager since Russell Slade left in September 2014.
