West Brom reject £23M offer from Leicester City
The news that Leicester City have had a £23m offer rejected for West Brom defender Jonny Evans before Thursday's transfer deadline is no shock as the Baggies have said he is worth a lot more.
The Foxes had a £10m bid for the former Manchester United player, 29, rejected earlier in the summer but have followed it up with a second offer.
The Baggies have also rejected two bids from Manchester City, including one for £18m, for Northern Ireland's Evans.
Evans was absent from West Brom's squad for Sunday's 1-1 Premier League draw with Stoke City.
The Evans saga may well end in a bigger offer being accepted. But his won't be the only potential deal before the transfer deadline on Thursday.
Arsenal pair Alexis Sanchez - to Man City and Alex Oxlaide-Chamberlain to Liverpool are just a couple of potentail big money moves.
Liverpool could yet sell Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona for over £100M, west Ham are reported to have offered £30M for Sporting;s William Carvalho and so it goes on. This is already a record breaking transfer period in the Prem and that record could be extended even further this week.
