What now for Darren Ferguson after Doncaster Rovers are relegated
Doncaster's relegation from League One was virtually sealed as bottom club Crewe came from behind to win for the first time in 16 games. Doncaster's inferior goal difference gives them no real chance of survival.
Boss Darren Ferguson has been in charge of Doncaster since October and he has seen his side slide down the table from a mid-table slot. Rovers have one game left and are on -16. They are three points behind Fleetwood, who have two matches to play, and whose goal difference is -4.
Ferguson has had mixed fortunes as a manager taking Peterborough up twice but also seeing them relegated. He also had a torrid time at Preston before being sacked in 2010 - a decision that saw his father - Sir Alex Ferguson recall three Manchester United loan players from the Deepdale squad.
This latest setback must put a question mark over Ferguson's future although as yet the Club or the manager have made no comment on next season.
