Altrincham confirm new investors
Altrincham have announced the addition to the club’s board of two Canadian-based investors.
The Robins, back in the National League this season for the first time since 2016 and currently sitting 4th in the league, have confirmed Chris Parry and Scott Burton as ‘significant Alty shareholders’.
The pair are based in Vancouver, with Parry heading up Equity Guru, described as ‘an information provision and analysis company focusing on millennial investors’.
Burton, meanwhile, is CEO of FansUnite Entertainment, ‘a sports and entertainment company focused on technology-related to online sports betting’.
Co-chairman Lawrence Looney told the club’s website: “We’ve been in conversations with Chris and Scott for quite some time, but it is clear that both of them were impressed by the vision we have laid out for the club.
“Their joining the board accelerates our plans to establish ourselves in the National League and to kick on towards achieving promotion to the Football League.”
