Bristol City Appoint New CEO
Bristol City have confirmed the appointment of Tom Rawcliffe as the club’s new Chief Executive Officer ahead of the 2025/26 Sky Bet Championship season.
Rawcliffe steps into the top role after four years at Ashton Gate, where he initially served as Head of Finance before being promoted to Chief Operating Officer for the past two seasons. He previously held a finance role at AFC Wimbledon.
Club owner Steve Lansdown praised the appointment, saying:
“Over the past four years Tom has shown his value to the club and thoroughly deserves his appointment as Chief Executive Officer with overall control of running this great club.
Having specialised in the finance and then operations of the club he is in a good position to lead our next stage of development.”
Now officially in post, Rawcliffe will oversee the club’s day-to-day operations during what is expected to be a key phase in its growth.
Speaking on his new role, Rawcliffe said:
“I am excited to lead the club in the next stage of its journey. I have been at the club several years now and believe this evolution is an exciting one.
We are progressing on and off the field, but I am clear there is a lot of work still to do, which starts now.”
