Ipswich record £155m turnover for 24/25
Ipswich Town have reported turnover of £155m for the 2024–25 season, marking an increase of £118m following their return to the Premier League.
The club recorded an operating profit of £4m for the year ending June 2025, a significant turnaround from the £39.3m loss posted the previous season.
Wage costs rose sharply during their first top-flight campaign in more than two decades, increasing from £44.5m to £77.1m. However, the club stated that “record revenues from all income streams” helped offset the higher expenditure.
The report continued: "The overall increases in revenue offset the increase in the cost base, resulting in the club achieving a profit in the period.
"Whilst this is welcomed, it is noted this was not the intention at the beginning of the season, and only resulted from the sale of playing assets and a reduction in performance based bonuses versus budget.
"The intention at the start of the season was to invest strongly in the squad, with £112.8m of acquisitions in the year, whilst remaining within the limits of FFP [Financial Fair Play]."
Despite the improved financial performance, Ipswich’s return to the Premier League lasted just one season, as they were relegated back to the Championship in May 2025.
Key signings during the campaign included captain Dara O'Shea and forwards Jack Clarke, Sam Szmodics and Jaden Philogene. Overall, the club generated a £15.4m profit from transfer activity.
