League Two side Swindon Town confirms ownership restructure
Promotion chasing Swindon Town have announced a restructuring of the companies that own the club which leaves Clem Morfuni the sole owner.
A statement released by the club said "The group of companies above the Club has been restructured, and Swinton Reds 20 and Seebeck 87 have been removed from the ownership structure, leaving Axis Football Investments now holding 100% ownership of Swindon Town Football Club."
"Under the revised structure, Clem Morfuni remains the sole owner of Axis Football Investments and, therefore, the sole owner of the club. Clem Morfuni continues to personally hold all club debt, which currently stands at £10.6 million, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to the financial support and future of Swindon Town."
"This simplified ownership model provides clarity, stability, and a stronger foundation as the club continues to move forward both on and off the pitch."
Swindon are currently 5th in League Two and look likely to secure a play-off spot at the very least, whilst being only three points from the automatic promotion spots.
