Morecambe FC Sale Set to Be Completed Monday as Bond Group and Panjab Warriors Agree Final Terms
The long-running saga over the ownership of Morecambe FC
appears to be nearing its conclusion, after Bond Group Investments Ltd and
Panjab Warriors Sports Ltd confirmed today that they have agreed final terms
for the club’s sale, with completion expected on Monday 7th July 2025.
In a joint statement issued by Bond Group, it was announced
that the deal remains subject to contract, but both parties intend to finalise
the takeover within days, potentially ending months of instability and
uncertainty at the National League club.
As part of efforts to stabilise the club ahead of the
transition, Bond Group has extended an invitation to former Morecambe FC board
members to return and assist in overseeing the final stages of the handover.
Confirmation of which directors will return is still pending at the time of
writing.
The Panjab Warriors will now liaise with the National League
to complete remaining formalities, which include presenting their financial
plans and operational strategy for the upcoming 2025/26 season. These steps are
essential to ensure league approval and regulatory compliance.
Final sale documentation is being prepared, with the
completion deadline set for Monday.
A further update from Bond Group is expected on Monday 7th
July, when the sale is anticipated to be formally concluded. If completed, it
would mark the end of a turbulent chapter for Morecambe FC, who have faced
threats of administration, unpaid wages, and governance turmoil in recent
weeks.
