Medoc Season 2022 /2023

Summer is always busy at Medoc; it’s the time of year when Clubs look at implementing new systems, and release new kit designs – this year we’ve helped with almost 100 kit launches, plus our events business has been as busy as usual with multiple major events. And this year we’ve been even busier with two Charity events that we’ve supported.

With kit launches, we don’t normally need to do very much for our Clubs other than monitoring to make sure that the hundreds of thousands of fans can actually get to order their shirts! But this year was a little different, in that three of our clubs were promoted at the end of last season, resulting in new shirt printing requirements which we help with. Luton Town FC being the most notable with their elevation to Premier League resulting in a record number of visitors.

And whilst busy with kit launches, it was also the time of year for Silverstone F1 and the Ashes at Edgbaston. During the year there are a several ePOS units at these venues, but when there are major events such as this, we roll out almost 100 extra terminals – a challenge, particularly at Silverstone, where the support guys have to walk for miles around the circuit. At the end of this, they are certainly fit (and exhausted)!

We’re very proud of the support we are able to give to charities, and this year was no exception; as well as the Annual Fashion show for AgeUK Derbyshire, we also provided the mPOS terminals for entrance into the Gatley Festival – this annual event raises thousands of pounds for local causes, and we were therefore delighted to be able to help. Not only did we donate the supply of the terminals, but also our Director, Head of Development Alex Masidlover was amongst the other volunteers ‘on the gates’ to take the entrance fees.

Medoc is, as everyone knows, the leading independent software development house for retail and merchandising system to the sports market-place, and in order to maintain this position we continuously launch new functions and products, and this year was no exception.

2023 saw the launch of new Warehouse management functions, with a range of additional features on Android based hand-held scanners. In addition, a new Wholesale suite, which not only enables the Club to manage their wholesale orders, but also provides access for their customers to place wholesale orders, securely and easily. And at the same time, we developed several new integrations to Third-Party payment processors, carriers and merchandise suppliers.

Our Kit Manager app, which was originally launched back in 2016, has been completely re-designed and re-developed, and links directly to zTSM, enabling kit managers, no matter where they are in the world, to manage their own player kit stock, with the Club having total real-time visibility.

And we’re now looking forward to 2024; the roadmap for zTSM looks very exciting, and we are confident that with all our new functionality and products we’ll maintain our foremost position in the market-place.
